Vintage 2011
As with many things in this world, there are people... and there ARE people. There are wines... and there ARE wines. There are Port vintages and there ARE Port vintages. This IS the Port Vintage! Much talked about in the wine world, it is likely to become one of the great vintages. These are Ports to put away. These are ports to give to your children or Grandchildren, especially if they were born in 2011. Equally they will reward in time.

Krohn Vintage 2011 Port
A wonderfully herbaceous nose with a dense palate of sour cherries and stewed prunes and a ripe harmonious finish. 2011 is a breathtakingly good vintage and will be relatively forward for drinking in 15-20 years but with the potential for longevity well beyond this. 2011 really is the year to invest in some vintage Port.

Quinta do Retiro Novo 2011
A single estate port.Wiese & Krohn's estate Quinta do Retiro Novo is located in Sarzedinho, a very small village in the Rio Torto valley. In this area the nature of the soil where the vines are growing, the altitude, the locality, the (low) productivity and the slope of the vineyards are particularly favorable to the production of quality Ports. Again from the suberb 2011 vintage , superb and ready for drinking in 15 – 20 years.
